Yummy Breakfasts!
I figured if I wanted to enjoy any rhubarb this season I better make some stuff soon, otherwise I might not have the time to actually make something with it. Because if you are cooking with rhubarb, then you are cooking from scratch.
I also made 4 mini loaves of Rhubarb Bread. They are cooling right now and when they are finished cooking I will wrap them and freeze them, so that later on I can take them out and we have some homemade breakfast when we don't have time to be making food that take much more effort than cereal (which by the way I am completly stocked up on, as Andy LOVES cereal.)
And I didn't stop there. I made the batter for Raisin Bran Muffins. I think the recipe for that is on here somewhere. It's a muffin batter mix that you have to make up at least 24 hours in advance, but will keep for up to 6 weeks, and you just take out what you need. So, you can have fresh muffins in just cooking time. I only made a half batch. I was thinking of making a full batch, but I only had enough raisin bran for 1/2 batch, which is still pretty big. I know I could have used a different cereal, but I didn't want to.
Now, time to rest while things cool, dishes & clothes are being washed.
